5.) Flannel Board/Songs-If you have a _______ truck and 10 Little Firetrucks

I had the kids take a fire truck ( I made lots of extras just in case). I used six different colors of card stock and printed the fire trucks onto them.  As I sang this tune I changed out the color.  When the child’s color of truck came up in song they brought up theirs.  They loved this! We did this a few times as well.

If you have a red truck, red truck, red truck.  If you have a red truck, bring it up.

After we sang the song I put up 10 of the fire trucks and my laminated numbers and we counted together.  Then we sang a song along with it.

10 Little Firetrucks ( tune of 10 little Indians)

1 little, 2 little, 3 little fire trucks.

4 little, 5 little, 6 little firetrucks

7 little, 8 little, 9 little firetrucks

10 trucks in a row.

One brave firefighter putting out the fire.  Swoosh goes the water but the flames climb higher.  The firefighter calls for a friends with a shout..’HELP ME PUT THIS FIRE OUT!’

Two brave firefighters putting out the fire.  Swoosh goes the water but the flames climb higher.  The firefighters call for a friend with a shout..’HELP ME PUT THIS FIRE OUT!’

Three brave firefighters putting out the fire.  Swoosh goes the water but the flames climb higher.  The firefighters call for a friend with a shout..’HELP ME PUT THIS FIRE OUT!’

Four brave firefighters putting out the fire.  Swoosh Swoosh Swoosh goes the water and the flames climb lower and lower.  The firefighters clap their hands and shout…Hooray, we put out the fire!

8.)

Fireman’s Hokey Pokey

You put your helmet in, you put your helmet out.  You put your helmet in and you shake it all about.  You do the hokey pokey and you turn yourself around! That’s what it’s all about!

I had the kids discuss what firemen wear and we added it into the song! They had a ball.

Goodbye Song with Lambchop

I do the same goodbye song as the hello song just change hello to goodbye.

How it went: The kids had a great time! I shortened some of the books I read because my kids wanted to sing and dance instead! I always have lots of back up songs and motions to do with them.

Thanks for reading! Next week will be all about dogs! 🙂
